Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
It is not known whether Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of kidney function test and some blood tests may advised while you are taking this medicine.
Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection is used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, paralytic ileus, post-operative urinary retention and reversal of effect of skeletal muscle relaxant after surgery.

How Myostigmin Injection works
Myostigmin 2.5mg Injection increases the levels of chemical messengers which allows free transmission of signals across the nerves and muscles.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal cramp, Diarrhoea, Excessive salivation.

You may need to stop using the medicine for a short time in case of a surgery.
Use neostigmine with caution if you have epilepsy, bronchial asthma, bradycardia, recent coronary occlusion, vagotonia, hyperthyroidism, cardiac arrhythmias, peptic ulcer.
Avoid taking large doses of neostigmine in situations where there might be an increased absorption rate from the intestinal tract. Use with caution when neostigmine is given along with anticholinergic drugs because of decreased GI motility.
Do not drive or operate machinery as neostigmine can cause blurred vision or impaired thinking.
Do not drink alcohol while taking neostigmine as it may worsen the side effects.
Take precautions while taking neostigmine as over dosage of neostigmine can cause extreme muscle weakness.
